It’s hard to believe it’s already been five months. I often think about it and at times it seems very daunting to think about having this responsibility for the rest of your life but then I think of how quickly this time went by and I feel much more at ease. See, one thing everybody tells you and you won’t really listen to until you’re a few months in is it will pass....
Hornswoggles, it’s been yonks since the last time I wrote here. Not like I didn’t have anything to write about, I was just too busy to actually take the time and write posts I consider written well enough to be published here. I’ll summarize a few key things that happened trying to keep a chronological order. First off, probably the most drastic change, I was made redundant last December. The whole process took a huge toll on me and I’m not really allowed to discuss any of it as we’ve ultimately signed a settlement so I’ll just leave it at that but I managed to find a new job in reasonable amount of time and I joined my new position in early February....
This is my new blog. I nuked and reinstalled my dedicated server today so I have absolutely nothing running, except this. Trying to do things right now and use Ansible for most things, we’ll see how long that lasts. I’m also planning to set a new Mastodon instance up, but that’s it so far. Anyhoops, see y’alls.
